Listen, we worry about our cats. We do. All the time. Any tiny change in their behavior, and we're suddenly keeping a much closer eye on them. We can't help it! It's for their own good. Cats are so good at hiding it when they don't feel well that we know that it's up to us to see it before they even show it. But as much as we know that what we're doing is important… it also means that sometimes we get things wrong, and we take our cats to the vet for silly reasons. 

The person in this thread is not the first and not the last to go to the vet and have them say: "everything's fine, your cat is just fat." We know it because we ourselves have been there are well. And hey, so long as your kitty is healthy and happy, it's okay for cats to be a little chonky. A little chonky means a little spoiled, and you know just how much our furry queens and kings like that.

    We kinda love this. And we totally understand why it went viral. You just feel this post - feel the love that the owners have for their cat, feel just how ridiculous this fur baby and is and how much chaos he brings into their lives and how relieved and exasperated the owners must have been with him at the vet's. We love this.

    There is something so ridiculous and silly about this picture. To know that this kitty had to go get a literal CAT scan just because he's chonky… We hope this sweetie stays happy and healthy for many, many years to come.

    Font - Daikon Emotional283 OP 2 days ago This x-ray is actually from a few months ago. Since then we've introduced wet foods to his diet and he's already shed some weight. His vet said he was thiccc but still a healthy weight. He just a big boy!

    Font - He's actually our daintiest eater, too. He waits for his brother and sister to get to their bowls and then he'll go for his. He eats a few bites and walks away, meanwhile the other two hogs polish off his wet food. You'd never know the other two were the gluttonous ones looking at all of them side by side.

    Font - Daikon Emotional283 OP 2 days ago I think it had to do with his level of activity to. Prior to moving down south, he'd ninja his way out the door and spend hours exploring the wilderness. Now, we live in a high traffic, HOT place so we absolutely never, ever let him get out. Toys help keep him a little active, but nothing like his days of chasing field mice and canvassing the entire neighborhood all night.
